Setup Instructions

1. Unpacking the Nebulizer:
   • Carefully remove the Power Neb Ultra nebulizer and all accessories from the packaging. Ensure you have all the components, including the compressor unit, nebulizer cup, mouthpiece or mask, tubing, air filter, and power cord.
2. Placing the Nebulizer:
   • Place the nebulizer on a flat, stable surface near an electrical outlet. Ensure the device is within reach of where you plan to sit during treatment.
3. Connecting the Tubing:
   • Attach one end of the tubing to the air outlet on the compressor unit.
   • Connect the other end of the tubing to the bottom of the nebulizer cup.
4. Assembling the Nebulizer Cup:
   • Open the nebulizer cup by unscrewing the top.
   • Pour the prescribed medication into the nebulizer cup. Be sure to use the correct dosage as directed by your healthcare provider.
   • Reattach the top of the nebulizer cup securely.
5. Attaching the Mouthpiece or Mask:
   • Attach the mouthpiece or mask to the top of the nebulizer cup. The mouthpiece is typically used for adults, while the mask is more suitable for children or those who prefer not to use a mouthpiece.
6. Powering On the Device:
   • Plug the power cord into the compressor unit and then into a wall outlet.
   • Turn on the nebulizer by pressing the power switch. The compressor will begin to create a mist of the medication.
7. Inhaling the Medication:
   • Place the mouthpiece in your mouth or fit the mask securely over your nose and mouth.
   • Breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth (if using a mouthpiece) or nose (if using a mask) until the medication is fully nebulized. This usually takes 5 to 10 minutes.
8. Turning Off the Device:
   • Once the treatment is complete, turn off the nebulizer by pressing the power switch.
   • Unplug the device from the electrical outlet.

Maintenance Instructions

1. Cleaning the Nebulizer Cup and Accessories:
   • After each use, disassemble the nebulizer cup, mouthpiece, or mask.
   • Wash all parts in warm, soapy water (except the tubing) and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
   • Shake off excess water and let the parts air dry on a clean towel. Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembling.
2. Cleaning the Compressor:
   • Wipe the exterior of the compressor with a damp cloth as needed. Do not submerge the compressor in water or allow water to enter the air outlet.
3. Changing the Air Filter:
   • The Power Neb Ultra nebulizer is equipped with an air filter that should be checked regularly and replaced when dirty.
   • Locate the air filter compartment, usually found on the side or back of the compressor unit.
   • Open the compartment, remove the old filter, and replace it with a new one. Do not wash or reuse air filters.
4. Tubing Care:
   • The tubing does not need to be cleaned regularly but should be replaced if it becomes discolored, brittle, or damaged.
   • To maintain optimal performance, consider replacing the tubing every 6 months or as directed by your healthcare provider.
5. Storage:
   • Store the nebulizer in a clean, dry place when not in use. Ensure all parts are dry before storing to prevent mold and bacteria growth.
6. Regular Inspection:
   • Periodically inspect the nebulizer for signs of wear or damage. If any parts are cracked, broken, or malfunctioning, replace them immediately.
