FreeStyle Precision Neo

The FreeStyle Precision Neo Blood Glucose Monitoring System is for use outside the body only (in vitro diagnostic use) in the quantitative measurement of glucose in fresh whole blood for self testing by lay users from the fingers. It is not intended to be used for testing neonatal blood samples or for the diagnosis or screening of diabetes.

The FreeStyle Precision Neo System is indicated for the home (lay) user in the management of patients with diabetes. It is intended to be used by a single person and should not be shared. The FreeStyle Precision Neo Blood Glucose Test Strips are for use with the FreeStyle Precision Neo Blood Glucose Meter to quantitatively measure glucose (sugar) in fresh capillary whole blood samples drawn from the fingertips.

How do the FreeStyle Precision Neo system trend indicators work?

If a blood glucose result is lower than 70 mg/dl, a red down arrow appears. You will see a blinking red down arrow after 2 low readings in the same 3-hour period over 5 days. Conversely, if a blood glucose result is higher than 240 mg/dl, a yellow up arrow appears. You will see a blinking yellow up arrow after 3 high readings in the same 3-hour period over 5 days. There is no need to enable trend indicators as they are automatically switched on.
Can the FreeStyle Precision Neo system be used to test on alternate sites?

The FreeStyle Precision Neo system is intended for fingertip testing only and is not intended to be used on alternate sites.
Do I need to register the meter and how do I get warranty support?

You don’t need to register your meter for warranty coverage. You’re automatically eligible for the limited warranty. Just retain your proof of purchase. If you’re experiencing problems with your meter, or if you want support in the future, please call Customer Support Monday through Friday 8am to 8pm Eastern Time at (888) 522-5226.
Can I use my flexible spending account to purchase my test strips over the counter?

Yes! Many flexible spending accounts (FSAs) allow purchase of glucose test strips and do not require a prescription. Check the details of your FSA for information.
What is the glucose result range for the FreeStyle Precision Neo system?

The glucose range for the system is 20 – 500 mg/dL.
Can I upload results from the FreeStyle Precision Neo system into a data management system?

Yes, the meter is compatible with LibreView — a free, web-based system which allows you to easily upload data from your meter to view, print and email easy-to-read reports. To download readings from your meter to LibreView, you will need to use a universal micro USB cable. You can purchase a micro USB cable at the Abbott store.
