Auto-Programming
Spectrum IQ infusion system enables your patient’s medication order to be transferred directly from the EMR to the pump, automatically programming your pump. This helps to improve standardization of infusions and protect your patient from potential keystroke errors.
On-screen Barcode
With its unique on-screen barcode, Spectrum IQ infusion system workflow guides the clinician to higher auto-programming adherence for safe medication delivery and improved automation. Spectrum IQ pump is the first infusion system that provides an on-screen barcode to simplify the integrated workflow.

Baxter has successfully completed systems integration of its Spectrum IQ Infusion System with the following EMR systems:

Epic integrated EMR system
Baxter used Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) standard communication protocols and transactions to support the integration, and worked with Epic to test and validate the integrated infusion capabilities of the Spectrum IQ Infusion System both onsite at the Epic Campus as well as the IHE N.A. Connectathon.

Cerner integrated EMR system
The Spectrum IQ infusion system has achieved validation with Cerner CareAware® iBus. Validation confirms that the device has been tested to solution-defined specifications that enable it to Integrate with the Cerner solutions listed below:
