How to use the Accu-Chek Nano meter

Checking blood glucose
The Accu-Chek Nano SmartView system is designed to give you confidence in the accuracy of your blood sugar results. Easy-to-handle test strips and a bright yellow dosing window make it easy to sample a tiny, 0.6 microliter drop.

Put a test strip into the meter in the direction of the arrows. The meter will beep and a flashing blood drop symbol will appear on the display.

Use the lancing device to prick the side of a fingertip. Gently squeeze the fingertip to produce a small drop of blood.

Touch the blood drop to the front edge of the yellow window of the test strip. A beep and flashing hourglass let you know when enough blood has been applied. Your result will appear in the display.

Alternate site testing
To check blood sugar from a non-fingertip site, place the gray plastic Accu-Chek FastClix cap on the lancing device and press until it clicks. Firmly press the clear cap against the selected site on your palm and click the release button. Continue to apply pressure to the selected site for a couple of seconds. When you have enough blood, apply it to the test strip. The measurement starts automatically.1
